Clay - I love your comparison between your 48 hour run vs. a regular sane person's day :)
You are a inspiring, yet hilarious, individual.

Love the slide show. I would have to say you are crazy and inspiring all rolled up in one. What motivates me is that you run alone. You don't let anyone stop you and you push yourself even when you would rather not. Best of 2012 on your runs. I love reading your blog too. Keep them coming

Training for the 100 mile run is going well, with back to back long runs each weekend. This past weekend, I was able to run 30 km on Saturday, and full marathon distance Sunday, so I've finished marathon #26.

I missed two marathon weekends in a row! But I finally finished my 24th yesterday. We moved to our new place two weeks ago and I pent last weekend organizing our stuff in my son's garage, so I've been pretty beat. I have added a run on Saturday, and then the marathon distance Sunday, eventually working up to a full marathon Saturday AND Sunday. Sunday afternoons are a write-off for me because I just need to sleep. But at least I'm seeing a lot of real estate when I run...

Woohoo! Finished the first half of the year, and 23 marathons. Only 28 more to go! To celebrate our birthdays, my wife and I went out Saturday evening for a steak dinner. Sunday's run was pretty tough because the steak dinner wasn't so great for carb loading. I ran marathon distance inspite of that, and will have a greater challenge next week as I move house on Friday, unpack and visit with my German friend Saturday, and see if I can do it again Sunday. Looking forward to seeing fi I can double up in the summer to catch up.....
